Our family has been on a pretty intense journey recently. A little while ago we pulled our daughter out of her secondary school due to bullying, and whilst we were looking at all the alternatives in terms of schooling, I joined a few homeschooling forums. I was amazed to find a multitude of parents home schooling, due to all sorts of reasons, but all of them having to find other ways of educating their children. It didn’t take long for me to work out that I really wanted to help children by offering art tips and hints, tutorials and walkthroughs to help them enjoy art at home without feeling like they are missing out on school art education.
2. Mental Health
After a horrendous 2018 whereby my physical and mental health took a real hammering, I’ve used art to help give me emotional sustenance and strength. I’ve always been aware of how important art is for mental health generally, and I really want to help other people experience it too. If tutorials like these can help someone else to feel a little bit better by guiding them to art, then how amazing would that be?
I feel the need for more joy and fun around me generally, so this is my path for the time being. Let's see how it goes, I hope you'll join me in the journey to discover your joy and fun too!
